CANYONING LERCA
Canyoning Lerca is in the province of Genoa near Arenzano. Its pools are of an energetic green/blue, given from the nature of the rock in which they are located. The serpentine is a magmatic rock that has these reflections.
The Rio Lerca is a beautiful descent under full sunlight and very fun, surrounded by typical Ligurian vegetation.
It is necessary to reach the access of the torrent by walking about 30 minutes from the car park.
There are 8 jumps. Some of them are avoidable with rappels.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL
Easy, boys minimum height 140 cm, it’s necessary to know how to swim.
THE PRICE INCLUDES
Guiding by a Mountain Guide specialized on canyoning, hiring of hooded 5 mm wetsuit and 3 mm neoprene socks, helmet, harness and safety slings with carabiners.

NECESSARY STUFF
Swimsuit, a pair of shoes to be used in the river (better hiking shoes with Vibram sole, or in any case sneakers), spare shoes, towel.
Note on shoes: do not take old shoes that you had in lumber-room for several years, the sole tends to separate immediately in contact with water. In less than 2 minutes you will find yourself barefoot. A good pair of recent shoes will make you enjoy your experience and they don’t ruin in only a canyon descent.

WHAT IS CANYONING
Canyoning is a very cool activity that takes place along little torrents with a modest waterflow. The most beautiful canyons allow you to jump and slide like in a water park, but in a natural environment.
Doing canyoning allows you to visit unique places. There’s no chance to see those places without practicing canyoning. It is a very adventurous activity and the environment is wild even if you are not far from a town or a road. Usually the sight of a bridge brings back to the reality of the world that we are used to attend.
It does not require previous technical experience, but requires good physical conditions, confidence with water and of course, knowing how to swim. The guides will inform you about the correct behaviors to keep inside the canyon to minimize risks, what to do and what not to do. The participants are asked to scrupulously follow the directions received from the guides.
