CANYONING PERLANA
The canyoning Perlana goes down through a marvellous gorge that flows into Lake Como. It has a nice series of rappels and jumps in a striking environment. One of its peculiarities is a 45 degrees sloping toboggan, 12 meters long, which flows into a deep pool. This exciting toboggan is the longest of all Lombardy.
The rock in which it is dug is limestone, a particular that jumps out to our eyes when it is necessary to enter for a short passage inside a cave. Here the guide will turn on the headlamp to allow the group to equip the rappel that leads out. As soon as we left the cave we could admire numerous stalactites in formation typical of the karst environment.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL
Medium, it’s mandatory to know how to swim.
THE PRICE INCLUDES
Guiding by a Mountain Guide specialized on canyoning, hiring of hooded 5 mm wetsuit and 3 mm neoprene socks, helmet, harness and safety slings with carabiners.

NECESSARY STUFF
Swimsuit, a pair of shoes to be used in the river (better hiking shoes with Vibram sole, or in any case sneakers), spare shoes, towel.
Note on shoes: do not take old shoes that you had in lumber-room for several years, the sole tends to separate immediately in contact with water. In less than 2 minutes you will find yourself barefoot. A good pair of recent shoes will make you enjoy your experience and they don’t ruin in only a canyon descent.

The altitude is quite low (about 300 meters above sea level), so its season is very long. From May to September
PROGRAM OF CANYONING PERLANA
Travel to the area and meeting in Ossuccio (CO) at 10.00 am
Briefing equipment wearing:
Approach on foot, first on a steep road, then on an up and down path (about 35 minutes)
The descent into the canyon lasts about 3 hours.
Once we leave the torrent, we have to walk for 10 minutes to get back to the cars.
WARNINGS
No previous technical experience is required, but good physical conditions, confidence with the water and obviously being able to swim. The guides will inform you about the correct behaviors to keep inside the canyon to minimize risks, what to do and what not to do. The participants are asked to scrupulously follow the directions received from the guides.
