CANYONING SECCHIA – APENNINES OF EMILIA
The Canyoning Secchia in the Schiocchi gorge of Cerreto Alpi. It is an “aquatic” hike, you walk in a unique environment in the Apennines. Thanks to the supplied neoprene wetsuits you can enjoy the part jumps. You will also slide through natural toboggans dug into the rock by the water. There’s no mandatory difficulties.
On the path there are two ziplines to facilitate some passages or avoid jumps for those who don’t want to. In these sections you will slide with a pulley along 40 meters long steel cables, belayed with the rope by the mountain guide.
The activity lasts about three and a half hours, necessary a good pair of hiking shoes to wet, swimsuit, spare shoes, towel.
The canyoning Secchia has a characteristic exit from the gorge: at the end of the water part you have to climb up for 12 meters on a rock to reach the path that leads us in 15 minutes to the cars. This climb is very safe, we’ll remain always hooked with carabiners to a steel cable alongside the ladders.

Suitable for everyone, families with children from 10 years, stag and hen parties, team building for companies. It is not necessary to know how to swim, but to know how to floating.

THE PRICE INCLUDES
Guiding by a Mountain Guide specialized on canyoning, hiring of hooded 5 mm wetsuit and 3 mm neoprene socks, helmet, harness and safety slings with carabiners.
THE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE
Trip to the meeting point. Optional lunch at “Giardini dell’Acqua” restaurant after the activity.
NECESSARY STUFF
Swimsuit, a pair of shoes to be used in the river (better hiking shoes with Vibram sole, or in any case sneakers), spare shoes, towel.
Note on shoes: do not take old shoes that you had in lumber-room for several years, the sole tends to separate immediately in contact with water. In less than 2 minutes you will find yourself barefoot. A good pair of recent shoes will make you enjoy your experience and they don’t ruin in only a canyon descent.

TIMETABLE AND DETAILS
9.00 am: meeting at “Giardini dell’Acqua” a wonderful green area, where it is practiced fish farming, with restaurant service.

9.30 am: Ten minutes trip to the access point of the torrent
1.00 pm: exit and return to Giardini dell’Acqua, possible lunch (separately).
DESCRIPTION CANYONING SECCHIA
It takes place near the village of Cerreto Alpi. We are not far from Cerreto Pass and from Cerreto Laghi tourist resort. It runs through a characteristic gorge, never too narrow.
For this reason in the warmest hours of the day you can enjoy the freshness of mountain stream water, but also the sunlight heating.
